Glen Swan from Funcom released the details on the upcoming server merges that are planned for December.  While heralded by some as a great move, others see it as a sign of impedning doom for the Hyborean themed MMO.  Below is part 1 of the server merge details with a followup post from Glen in the next day or two.

Funcom announced the release of much anticipated and greatly delayed pvp patch.  many new changes and in light of Warhammer Online's almost simultaneous release one has to wonder about the timing of that patch.  Anyway, the patch looks to be an improvement and provide some much needed pvp love.  PVP leveling system and new pvp gear sets in particular will motivate people to go hack one another up in Hyboria.  We will have to see how the general player base feels about...
